The topic of Bruno’s injury took center stage at the Christmas Eve press conference, but Ruben maintained his composure and shared the message he communicated to the team.
“I believe it’s impossible to replace Bruno, and I mentioned this to the squad this morning. We must focus on the positives; this situation provides an opportunity for many players to elevate their performance.
“It’s not just about creation; he also plays a key role in organizing the team during set pieces. This is a chance for everyone to step up and recognize that we can’t lean on just one player for everything. Often, we depend on Bruno for both organization and creativity.
“We’ve lost Bruno during set pieces, and we’ve also lost Bryan [Mbeumo] and Amad. This is a significant challenge for the team, but it’s also a chance for others to rise to the occasion and demonstrate the leadership we require.”
