On Friday, Glasner announced his decision to depart from the capital club at the conclusion of the season, coinciding with the expiration of his contract.
“A decision was made several months ago. During an international break in October, I had a lengthy discussion with Steve [Parish],” he explained.
“I informed him that I would not be renewing my contract. At that time, we agreed it was best to keep this information between us for confidentiality over the past three months.”
“Now, however, it’s important to provide clarity. Given our busy schedule, we decided to refrain from discussing it earlier. Both Steve and I want what’s best for Crystal Palace.”
