List of Players Who Have Won the Champions League & World Cup This Century

No nation has won more than one World Cup since the year 2000, which means no player has been part of more than one winning squad this century. However, there are several players who have won the World Cup and multiple Champions League titles. Leading this group is Toni Kroos, who triumphed with Germany in 2014 and has achieved the Champions League glory six times—five with Real Madrid and once with Bayern Munich. Seven players have secured both the World Cup and four Champions League titles this century. Lionel Messi, for example, clinched his first World Cup with Argentina in 2022 after winning four Champions Leagues with Barcelona.

His former Barcelona teammates—Xavi, Andrés Iniesta, Víctor Valdés, and Gerard Piqué—also achieved four Champions League victories and were members of the 2010 World Cup-winning Spain team. Former Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos won four Champions Leagues with Los Blancos and was part of the Spanish squad that conquered the World Cup in 2010, while Raphaël Varane celebrated a World Cup with France in 2018 and four Champions League titles with Real Madrid. Likewise, the Spanish contingent of Carles Puyol, Sergio Busquets, Pedro, and Iker Casillas each secured three Champions League trophies alongside a World Cup title. Furthermore, nine players have managed to win two Champions Leagues and a World Cup since 2000.
