The survey investigates early interest in a potential seat license option. This concept would allow fans to secure the right to purchase tickets for matches and events at Old Trafford for a specified period, either through a one-time payment or multiple installments.
Seat licenses have been implemented in many stadium projects worldwide. However, unlike most venues where they are mandatory for all season ticket holders, we are considering an optional approach. Standard season tickets will still be available, ensuring traditional season ticket holders can maintain their usual benefits, such as having the same seat for every game and access to away game and cup final tickets. Additionally, seat license holders would enjoy new benefits, which are yet to be defined.
This seat license option is one of several initiatives we’re exploring. We plan to conduct further research with fans regarding alternative options in the upcoming months.
Our primary goal is to fund a new stadium while ensuring football remains affordable and accessible for fans, preserving the match-going culture for future generations. We are committed to a transparent and consultative process to find the right balance, making sure fans influence our plans throughout.
Fans have until 23:59 GMT on 6 November to complete the survey, and we encourage everyone to take this opportunity to share their opinions.
