In conjunction with the project, the Under-12s visited the Stretford War Memorial, where they laid a wreath and crafted poems in honor of former player Sandy Turnbull, who gave his life in World War I and is remembered at the memorial.
During the event, two of our players, Thierry and Maker, were chosen to read the selected poems aloud, followed by a minute of silence.
