In a thrilling match that ended in a 2-2 draw at home against Sion, Kana-Biyik scored his first senior goal for Lausanne, with all the goals occurring in the first half.
Following the match, the striker, who joined the Reds from Le Havre over the summer, expressed his joy to Blick: “It’s a wonderful feeling. The most important thing was celebrating with my teammates and the fans.”
Coach Peter Ziedler addressed the decision to substitute Kana-Biyik at halftime, bringing in the more seasoned Theo Bair instead.
“When I informed Enzo about the substitution, he felt a bit let down, as he wanted to keep playing,” Ziedler commented. “However, he is an exemplary young man, always dedicated to the team, understanding the staff’s decisions, and prioritizing the team’s needs over his own.”
“We are very pleased with Enzo. He’s young and continually improving, and we hope he can contribute a few more goals before Christmas.”
