WHO STILL HAS A CHANCE TO QUALIFY?
The lineup of teams for the World Cup is not yet finalized, with six spots still available through the upcoming playoff stage. A total of 16 European nations will participate in the next draw, divided into four pathways, culminating in knockout semi-finals and a final to determine the last entrants from the continent.
The final two spots will be decided through intercontinental playoff matches featuring Bolivia, DR Congo, New Caledonia, Iraq, Jamaica, and Suriname.
Altay Bayindir still has an opportunity to qualify with Turkey, as they secured second place in Group E, finishing behind Spain.
Denmark also remains in the running for qualification after narrowly missing out on an automatic berth due to a dramatic defeat against Scotland, with both Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu and Reds loanee Rasmus Hojlund part of the squad.
The draw to determine the matchups for the playoff stages will take place this Thursday (20 November) in Switzerland, with the matches scheduled during the international break in March.
WHEN IS THE WORLD CUP DRAW?
The nations competing in the tournament will find out their group-stage schedules on Friday, 5 December, at 17:00 GMT. The draw will be held at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
