Bardsley is optimistic that Mount will keep shining in the upcoming weeks, as United will need to manage without Amad, Noussair Mazraoui, and Bryan Mbeumo.
The trio will soon head off for the Africa Cup of Nations, and while they will be missed, Bardsley sees it as an opportunity for others to rise to the occasion, drawing from his experience at Burnley and Sunderland.
“It’s unfortunate that this comes at such a pivotal time,” he commented. “They’ve all been exceptional this season, with Amad performing brilliantly for the past two years. Mbeumo has been a refreshing addition and, in my opinion, our standout player so far—his absence will be greatly felt.
“The contributions of our fringe players will be crucial, given how impactful they have been.”
