Wheatley’s latest goal for Northampton was scored against league leaders Cardiff City. His final appearance was in 2025’s last match, where the team suffered a 2-0 loss to Lee Grant’s Huddersfield Town.
Last season, the forward had a stint with Walsall and achieved the milestone of becoming our 250th Academy graduate in 2024, making four senior appearances for the Reds.
