The first to arrive were Tom Heaton, Rasmus Hojlund, and Harry Maguire, who greeted each other warmly before picking up their specially printed India jerseys. They were soon joined by the rest of the United squad, led by Mason Mount and followed shortly after by Amorim.
Heaton was quick to put on his new shirt, and soon Kobbie Mainoo, Leny Yoro, and the rest of the team joined him for a big group photo.
Just as the camera clicked, Jack Fletcher dashed over to the wickets to grab a bat and quickly had a line of bowlers ready to take their turn against him. He faced challenges from Maguire, Singh, and Luke Shaw before passing the opportunity to Manuel Ugarte and Heaton.
Next up was Maguire, but Shardul Thakur had other plans as he sent a football flying towards him instead. Harry returned to his usual role, defending his wicket with the intensity he brings to United’s six-yard box on match days, powerfully heading the ball back with his signature flair.
