Park’s 18th-minute goal was a stunning curling shot into the far top corner, showcasing her excellent performance in a central attacking midfield role.
Although she usually plays on the right wing for the Reds, the summer signing from Manchester City made an impact in a different position on Wednesday night.
“It felt amazing to score. I saw the goal open up and thought, ‘I’m going for it.’ When I saw it hit the back of the net, I was ecstatic,” Jess shared with MUTV’s Ben Ibson after the match.
“I aimed to create moments and connect with my teammates, and I felt we accomplished that well tonight.
“Playing in a central role was a lot of fun. I love being in the center, I enjoy playing on the wings, but most importantly, I just love playing football! I always want to be out on the pitch.”
