JONES REFLECTS ON HIS ACADEMY COACHING JOURNEY
Former player Phil Jones has described his time coaching with Manchester United’s Academy as “fantastic,” having spent time alongside the Under-18s over the past two seasons.
“I had the opportunity to learn from the coaches regarding session setups, their objectives during training, and the development programs designed to ensure these young talents transition smoothly from the Academy to the first team, including the necessary succession plans,” Jones shared.
“The potential within the group is very encouraging. I know some players have had the chance to train with the first team last season.”
“With Darren Fletcher now on board, I’m sure he’s working hard to bring out the best in everyone, so I’m hopeful we’ll see some of these players make it to the first team soon.”

LOAN WATCH
Our loaned players have continued to shine, with standout performances from Radek Vitek, who secured his third clean sheet in seven Championship matches for Bristol City, and Ethan Ennis, who scored his second goal in five games while playing for Fleetwood Town.
Full-backs Harry Amass and Habeeb Ogunneye both played the full match; Amass impressed in a 1-1 draw for Sheffield Wednesday against QPR, while Ogunneye’s Newport County side fell short against promotion contenders Chesterfield in League Two.
Midfielder Dan Gore made his 11th appearance this season at Rotherham United, having missed only one match since his loan return in the summer.
These are just a few highlights from our loan players, all of whom are gaining valuable experience away from the club, with the support of the Carrington staff, who maintain regular contact and monitor every game.
