Just 7 players recorded 10+ goal contributions.
As the summer transfer window heats up ahead of the 2025/26 season, let’s take a moment to look back at the signings from last year that made significant contributions in the Premier League. Our focus is on attacking players. In the previous summer transfer window, Premier League clubs invested over €800 million on forwards alone. We have analyzed which players who joined new clubs last summer delivered the most goal contributions (goals + assists) in the English top-flight last season.
However, only a limited number of attacking players had a major impact last season. Notably, no new signings exceeded 15 goal contributions in the Premier League. In contrast, Cole Palmer achieved 33 for Chelsea during his debut season at Stamford Bridge in 2023/24, while Erling Haaland produced 44 in his first term at Manchester City in 2022/23. So, who were the signings with the most impressive attacking returns last season? Let’s take a look.
The 24/25 Premier League signings with the highest goal contributions last term
Leading the pack are two players who both recorded 15 goal contributions for their new clubs last season. Bournemouth’s Evanilson found the net 10 times and provided 5 assists, while Ismaïla Sarr of Crystal Palace scored 8 goals and assisted 7. Following closely in third is Liam Delap, who signed for Ipswich from Man City and contributed 14 goals. He will be aiming to replicate this success after moving from relegated Ipswich to Chelsea this summer.
Dominic Solanke, who was overtaken by Evanilson, ranks fourth with 12 Premier League goal contributions for his new club Tottenham. Man City winger Savinho takes fifth place with 11 combined goals and assists. In joint sixth are Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh and Chelsea’s Pedro Neto, each with 10 goal contributions. Completing the top ten are three players who recorded 9 combined goals and assists: Fulham’s Emile Smith Rowe, Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye, and Arsenal’s Mikel Merino.
