ANDREAS PEREIRA (2012 – 2022)
The attacking midfielder, born in Belgium and eligible to represent Brazil through his father, made a significant impact in Manchester United’s youth teams after joining in 2012. He debuted for the senior team in 2014 during the League Cup. After spending time on loan at various clubs, Pereira became an essential part of United’s squad in the 2018/19 season, where he was honored with the club’s Goal of the Season award. He departed with a total of 75 appearances and has since established himself as a key player at Fulham.
FRED (2018 – 2023)
Fred arrived from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018 and quickly established himself as a dependable player. He made his first appearance for United on the opening day of the 2018/19 season and scored his inaugural goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers a month later, in a 1-1 draw. Known for his agility, work ethic, and superb passing ability, Fred showcased his talents in the 2019/20 season, where he was among the top players in appearances across all competitions. He continued to shine through the next seasons, culminating in a standout 2021/22 campaign, where he made 36 appearances, netted four goals, and provided six assists. Fred departed in 2023 but remains a valued friend of the club.
ALEX TELLES (2020 – 2023)
Alex Telles joined Manchester United from Porto in October 2020, earning acclaim as one of the top left-backs in world football. He made an immediate impact, playing 24 and 25 matches in his first two seasons. With extensive Champions League experience, Telles played a vital role in the Reds’ journey to the 2020/21 Europa League final. Although injuries curtailed his start to the 2021/22 season, he secured his position as a regular starter in both the Premier League and Champions League later in the year. Known for his defensive prowess as well as his attacking flair, Telles’s stunning volley against Villarreal in the Champions League was nominated for UEFA’s Goal of the Year.
