Leny Yoro may still be a teenager, but there are high expectations for the talented centre-back in the 2025/26 season.

Last season, he delivered several impressive performances, especially in the Europa League, highlighting his tremendous potential. His precise long passes and ability to advance with the ball have been on display once again during matches against Leeds United and West Ham.

Although primarily full-backs, Luke Shaw and Noussair Mazraoui could both be well-suited for one of the three defensive positions, a role they’ve frequently filled in the past. With Shaw back to full fitness, he brings valuable experience and, according to coach Amorim, “world-class” skill to the left side. His technical proficiency makes him an excellent option to initiate plays from that position.

Morocco international Mazraoui had a strong debut season at Old Trafford, demonstrating his versatility as an asset to the team. Despite missing the first match of the Premier League Summer Series due to a minor injury, he remains a strong contender for a starting role when the league season kicks off.
