TEAM NEWS FOR CHELSEA
The Blues remain unbeaten in domestic competitions this season but suffered a setback with a 3-1 loss to Bayern Munich in their first UEFA Champions League match on Wednesday night.
Reece James, who played in midfield, may switch back to his more traditional right-back position. Cole Palmer is also back in action, having scored and completed the full 90 minutes in Germany.
There’s considerable speculation about whether former Manchester United player Alejandro Garnacho will earn a starting spot, while Estevao is another candidate vying for inclusion, providing head coach Enzo Maresca with several tactical options.
“Estevao has the ability to excel in various attacking roles as he is an incredibly talented player,” Maresca mentioned during his press conference. “He requires time to develop. Both Estevao and Cole Palmer can play on the wings or as a No. 10. I consider myself fortunate to have both of them in the squad.”
“Cole is in good shape. We have a training session coming up where we’ll reassess some players as there are a few uncertainties.”
“Marc Guiu has rejoined us, and we plan to utilize him. I believe Garnacho is prepared to start against Manchester United.”
Unfortunately, Levi Colwill, Liam Delap, Mykhailo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling, and Axel Disasi will not be available for selection.
