The Reds faced a 1-0 defeat against Brann in the first leg of their third-round qualifier on Thursday. In an interview with MUTV following the match, which set a new attendance record for women’s football in Norway, the United head coach remarked, “The crowd felt like their extra player tonight; if we can emulate that, we’ll progress in this tie.”
With over 16,000 fans in attendance, United showcased strong dominance throughout the game, generating more opportunities and forcing goalkeeper Selma Panengstuen to make several impressive saves.
