“I believe she has a meeting scheduled with the doctors early this afternoon [Friday],” Skinner mentioned during his press conference prior to our league matchup against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. “We should have more information after that.”
“I’m hopeful that she could be available for the weekend.”
Toone was another key player missing from the starting lineup at the Theatre of Dreams earlier this week; however, she did sit on the bench and came on to replace Simi Awujo in the 69th minute.
Commenting on this decision on Friday morning, the United Women’s head coach explained: “Tooney had a slight niggle before the match, so it was about managing her minutes effectively.”
