“Her ability to play at such a fast pace is remarkable. Honestly, I believe she’s destined to become one of the best in the world. We’re thrilled with our decision to recruit her early on,” he said, referring to Sandberg’s move from BK Hacken shortly after she turned 21.
While she wasn’t a regular starter last season as she adapted to a new team in a new country, she has firmly established herself as the left-back in the early months of the 2025/26 season.
“We spent a year waiting while she was understandably frustrated because she wanted to play. But now, we’re finally witnessing the true talent of Anna,” Skinner shared.
“She is an exceptional footballer, but even more importantly, she is a resilient person. The loss of her mother this summer has been a tragedy, and her strength in overcoming that adversity speaks volumes about her and her family.”
