Interim head coach Darren Fletcher expressed his admiration for Ben’s performance against the Clarets, noting that he could have easily secured his first hat-trick for United on a different evening.
“I met with him yesterday to review footage of his movement, as you mentioned, highlighting how opportunities can arise if he continues to believe in himself and makes those runs,” Fletcher stated.
“The rest of the team also needs to keep an eye out for him. Like all strikers, scoring that initial goal can boost your confidence, and hopefully, that will lead to more goals flowing in soon.”
“Everyone can see his talents; I thought he was exceptional tonight. He really led the line effectively and could have potentially completed a hat-trick,” he added.
