Xabi Alonso has made a promising start to his tenure with Real Madrid, despite a disappointing derby loss to Atlético Madrid. Taking charge towards the end of last season, Alonso prepared for the upcoming campaign during the Club World Cup, where Los Blancos were eliminated by PSG in the semi-finals. This experience allowed him to assess his squad as they aim to surpass Barcelona in LaLiga.

Real Madrid’s legacy in the Champions League is unmatched, holding the record with 15 titles. The eager fans, known as Madristas, are looking forward to the final in Budapest. Alonso’s season began on a high note with six straight wins in LaLiga, followed by a setback with a 5-2 defeat in the Madrid derby. Kylian Mbappé has also started strongly, netting 13 goals across all competitions. Now, let’s examine the key market value shifts in the latest LaLiga update.

Real Madrid: Notable Market Value Changes from LaLiga Update

The interim LaLiga market value update was published on Thursday, October 2nd, confirming that Real Madrid maintains its status as the most valuable squad globally. Franco Mastantuono saw the largest increase of any LaLiga player, with his valuation rising by €20 million to €50 million. The Argentine joined the club this summer from River Plate and has made a solid impression, scoring his first LaLiga goal against Levante. Both Arda Güler and Álvaro Carreras received €10 million increases, with Güler becoming the most valuable Turkish player in history at €70 million. As shown in the graphic below, Dean Huijsen and Fran Garcia also saw their market values rise.

His fellow countryman, Rodrygo, also saw a €10 million decrease after falling out of favor with Alonso.
