Europe at the Pinnacle
Football is a universal sport, and no one embodies its global reach quite like Transfermarkt. As the premier source for football statistics, this website hosts the world’s most comprehensive database, attracting over six million users and operating across 27 successful international domains, from the United States to Indonesia. Players from all six livable continents (we believe Antarctica will be conquered eventually) have been assigned market values by Transfermarkt.
Transfermarkt‘s market values are respected worldwide, representing the efforts of countless staff and volunteers across the globe. But from this extensive database of player valuations, how does each continent rank based on the total market value of players from its nations? We’ve calculated the total market value for the six continents. It’s no surprise that Europe tops the list, but where do the others stand?
