Together, these signings have formed a starting XI filled with exceptional ability and potential. This line-up features international stars, emerging talents, and marquee signings, illustrating how clubs have bolstered their squads in pursuit of success this summer. On paper, this team has the capability to rival Europe’s elite — the challenge now lies in which of these players will justify their price tags once the season kicks off. Adapting quickly to the intensity of the Premier League is never a simple feat.
The Most Valuable XI of Premier League Summer Signings
In goal, we have James Trafford, returning to Manchester City for €31.2 million, with a current market value of €22 million. Jeremie Frimpong, who moved from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool for €40 million and holds a market value of €50 million, takes the right-back position. Liverpool also secures the left-back slot with the signing of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth for €46.9 million — the Hungarian’s market value stands at €45 million. The defensive lineup is rounded out by Jorrel Hato, signed by Chelsea for €44.2 million (mv: €35 million), and Christhian Mosquera, acquired by Arsenal for €15 million (mv: €30 million).
In central midfield, we see Arsenal’s €70 million investment in Martín Zubimendi (mv: €60 million) and Manchester City’s €55 million signing of Tijjani Reijnders (mv: €50 million). On the right wing is Liverpool’s record purchase, German playmaker Florian Wirtz, for €125 million, who boasts a current market value of €140 million. On the left wing, Manchester United has signed Brazilian Matheus Cunha for €74.2 million, with a market value of €60 million. Up front, Arsenal’s €65.8 million acquisition of Viktor Gyökeres (mv: €75 million) and Liverpool’s €95 million deal for Hugo Ekitiké (mv: €75 million) complete the attacking line-up. Notably, all players in this line-up are signings for clubs within the ‘Big Six’.
