As clubs shuffle up and down the table, some of the world's top players are vying for supremacy. Who shone the brightest on matchday five? Here's the analysis from the UK <em>Transfermarkt</em> team.

In defense, three teams clearly distinguished themselves. Notably, Sunderland clinched a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
