Stephen, who joined from Brentford, was announced as Nick Cox’s successor in August after Cox took on the role of technical director at Everton.
Recently, Torpey played a key role in overhauling Brentford’s youth system, which included the reintroduction of a comprehensive Academy program for players ranging from Under-9s to Under-18s. Before arriving at the west London club in January 2024, he was responsible for overseeing Academy coaching for all age groups at Manchester City and also worked with the Foundation phase at Liverpool.
