The voting began on ManUtd.com and in the United App shortly after the final whistle at a lively Old Trafford, concluding earlier today with Mbeumo emerging as the winner, receiving a majority of 55 percent of the votes.
This marks the first time the Cameroon international has won the award, following his summer transfer from Brentford.
In Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation, our no. 19 played as one of the two attacking midfielders and posed a significant threat to the Burnley defense even before finding the net.
He tested Burnley’s goalkeeper Martin Dubravka with a curling left-footed shot early in the game and narrowly missed the Stretford End with a right-footed attempt shortly after. Additionally, he almost assisted Amad during first-half stoppage time; however, the Ivorian’s first-time shot from Mbeumo’s clever and unselfish pass sailed over the crossbar from a close range.
