The Dutch coach, who celebrated Liverpool's 20th domestic title during his first season, is currently struggling to reverse the team's dismal form, despite a summer spending spree of €460 million on players like Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak.</p>

<p>At 47, Slot has witnessed his team concede late goals in recent losses to Crystal Palace and Chelsea, both ending 2-1. With Manchester United as their rivals, fans expected the Reds to regain their winning mentality, especially considering their previous home win in the Premier League was in January 2016. Instead, another disappointing defeat has put Slot’s tenure in a precarious position, compounded by a 1-0 loss to Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League.</p>

While managing AZ Alkmaar in the 2019/20 season, he experienced two back-to-back losses but has never encountered a sequence of three at any of his clubs. During his time at Feyenoord, he faced seven defeats in the 2020/21 season, but they were not consecutive. He led the Dutch side to the Eredivisie title in the 2022/23 season, losing only two matches, a feat he replicated the following year when they finished second.</p>
