The Academy player was being considered for a spot in the lineup for the match against Aston Villa due to Casemiro’s suspension, but unfortunately suffered an injury during training on Saturday.
“He picked up an injury in the final training session,” the manager stated to Sky Sports. “Afterwards, he consulted with the doctor and it turns out he has an issue with his calf.
“We will evaluate the situation, but he won’t be able to participate in this game.”
“It’s definitely unfortunate timing—not just for the team, but for him personally to face this setback. This serves as a reminder for us to concentrate on what we can control and leave the rest to fate.”
“I believe he will recover in a few weeks, though I can’t say for sure. For now, let’s focus on the players we have available and ready to take the field.”
