Lucy is set to join the Midlands, where she’ll reunite with her former England Under-19s head coach, Amy Merricks, who now leads the Blues.
Last season, Merricks steered Birmingham to a commendable second-place finish in WSL2, previously known as the Women’s Championship, falling just short of promotion to the WSL on the final matchday.
During that season, City boasted the best defense in the league, allowing only 15 goals in 20 matches. They now aim to return to the top tier for the first time since 2022 in the upcoming season.
