116 players have had their market values updated
Following the Major League Soccer updates earlier this month, Transfermarkt has also refreshed player values for the prominent league in Concacaf. A total of 116 Liga MX players have seen their market values adjusted. A standout from this update is US men’s national team striker Álex Zendejas, whose value increased from €8 million to €9 million, elevating him to joint third place among Liga MX players. This change coincides with Tigres UANL’s Ángel Correa dropping from €10 million to €9 million.
“Álex Zendejas has steadily made his mark as one of the most reliable performers in Mexican football,” said Area Manager for Mexico, Osvaldo González Camacho. “He has been pivotal in Club América’s historic three-peat, accumulating nearly 50 goal contributions over the past two seasons (13 assists and 12 goals in 2024/25, followed by 14 goals and 9 assists the season before). Although his current form in the Apertura has been relatively subdued, Zendejas has still managed 2 goals and 2 assists in nine league appearances. His consistent performances have once again secured him a spot on the US men’s national team, which is in dire need of attacking depth.”
The former FC Dallas player is not the only one with MLS ties making headlines in this market value update. Former LA Galaxy player Éfrain Álvarez recently transferred to Chivas from Club Tijuana for $7 million (€6.85 million), leading to a market value increase from €5.5 million to €6.5 million. Since his move, Álvarez has contributed two goals and two assists across 12 matches in all competitions. While his scoring stats may be modest, his versatility in playing different positions adds to his value.
Liga MX Market Value Update – Sergio Ramos Hits Another Low
Among the notable declines in this market value update is former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos from CF Monterrey, whose value fell from €1.2 million to €1 million. Ramos started with a market value of €7 million when he made his debut with Sevilla at age 18, making each subsequent decline in value a new low in his career. Ramos isn’t the only player from Monterrey experiencing a drop; Lucas Ocampos also saw a decrease of 8.3%, with his value dropping from €6 million to €5.5 million.
