Le Tissier achieved a significant milestone by making her landmark appearance in the team’s 100th competitive match since joining from Brighton in July 2022. Throughout her three-plus seasons with the club, she has displayed remarkable availability, consistency, and fitness, not missing a single game.
During this century of matches, Maya has been in the starting lineup 98 times and has made two appearances as a substitute. The latter occurred during her initial season in League Cup matches against Everton and Sheffield United.
Since her debut in September 2022, where she scored twice in a 4-0 victory over Reading, Maya has continued to excel, adding eight more goals to her tally, bringing her total to 10.
With her recent appearance, Maya joins an elite group as only the seventh player to reach 100 appearances for United Women since the team’s reformation in 2018. Ella Toone was the first to achieve this milestone, doing so three months prior to Le Tissier’s arrival, and she is now joined by Mary Earps, Leah Galton, Hayley Ladd, Millie Turner, and Katie Zelem, who made her home debut for London City in Sunday’s match.
