“It’s essential to be part of a team where you can truly express yourself. Moving to Antwerp was a significant step for me, as it provided the opportunity to compete at a high level while also showcasing my skills. There’s a lot of work involved, especially in goalkeeping.”
“Last season felt like everything came together perfectly—every piece fell into place. Looking at the stats, it reflects the dedication I’ve put in throughout my life, so it was truly rewarding to demonstrate my abilities on a larger stage.”
One aspect Lammens initially overlooked was his knack for scoring goals. Back in 2019, he made headlines worldwide when he scored a last-minute equalizer for Club Brugge’s Under-19 team in a UEFA Youth League match against Real Madrid.
“I wasn’t sure if you were aware of that!” he remarked.
“It was quite a while ago.”
