The trek posed a significant challenge for 50-year-old Paul, especially considering his battle with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.
“Fortunately, my variant isn’t too severe; I mainly deal with unsightly lumps on my elbows and knees, stretchy skin, and relatively loose joints.
“However, this condition can lead to stiffness and inflammation in my ankles and Achilles, making even routine walking quite painful on some days.”
