The Premier League club had two offers rejected just before the tournament for the U21 England international. Gittens subsequently traveled with Dortmund to the U.S. for the Club World Cup, where the speculation about his transfer continued. However, Dortmund has now confirmed that an agreement is in place.</p>

Ultimately, Chelsea has agreed to pay approximately €64 million for the player, who has also settled on personal terms for a contract that extends until 2032.</p>
