The complete list has been unveiled
Chelsea has further reinforced its squad during this transfer window by acquiring Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens for €64 million. The 20-year-old English talent joins the Blues after five successful seasons at Dortmund, where he netted 17 goals and contributed 14 assists in 107 matches for the Bundesliga club, following his move from Manchester City’s youth setup in 2020.
“It feels great,” Gittens remarked in a club announcement. “Joining such a prestigious club like Chelsea is an incredible feeling. I am eager to learn from the team and fully challenge myself here.” Despite representing England at various youth levels, Gittens has yet to receive a senior team call-up, making him the most expensive uncapped English player in football history. But who else is on that list?

As mentioned, Gittens leads the rankings with his €64 million transfer to Chelsea. In second place is Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who moved from Crystal Palace to Manchester United for €55 million in 2019. Although he switched his international allegiance to the Democratic Republic of Congo after the transfer, he was pursuing opportunities with England at that time. Defender Max Kilman follows in third place, having transferred from Wolves to West Ham for €47.5 million last summer. In fourth is Cole Palmer, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City for €47 million in 2023; he is now valued at €120 million and is a vital player for the Three Lions. Anthony Gordon takes fifth, moving from Everton to Newcastle for €45.6 million in 2023 before becoming a full England international.
Archie Gray ranks sixth after transferring from Leeds to Tottenham for €41.3 million last summer. Elliot Anderson, who excelled for the England U21s during their Euro 2025 victory, occupies seventh place, moving from Newcastle to Nottingham Forest for €41.2 million last summer. In eighth is full-back Tino Livramento, who made a €37.2 million switch from Southampton to Newcastle. Liam Delap takes ninth after his €35.5 million move from Ipswich to Chelsea this summer, while Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall rounds out the top ten with his €35.4 million transfer from Leicester to Stamford Bridge last year. Jarell Quansah’s recent €35 million transfer from Liverpool to Bayer Leverkusen positions him 11th on the list.
