STATUS UPDATE ON WILLIAMS, AWUJO, AND GALTON
“Rach, we’re aiming for a return in about a week to a week-and-a-half, with hopes she’ll be back by the end of next week. Simi is still around three weeks out, and Leah trained yesterday with some individual sessions. I’m optimistic that within the next three weeks, we’ll have everyone back and ready to compete.”
WE AIM TO FORCE BRANN TO DEFEND
“It’s challenging because, in most of their matches, Brann dominates possession in Norway, which means we don’t often see them having to defend. We’re aware of Signe Gaupset’s abilities in midfield, but their frontline is quite aggressive and they play an effective style of football. This will undoubtedly be a tough match. We’ve analyzed all their games, including their recent qualification matches. We know exactly who we’re up against, and we need to approach this with professionalism and high energy. I believe around 14,000 tickets have been sold, creating an exciting atmosphere, but I think our experience in the Hammarby game has prepared us for it. We can expect similar quality from them—they score goals and keep clean sheets, but I want to challenge ourselves to make them defend more.”
TERLAND RETURNS TO HER FORMER CLUB
“With how our team supports Elisabeth and considering her work ethic, she’ll pose a threat to any opponent. It’s a compelling narrative as she returns to her old club, and Lisa [Naalsund] shares the same experience. However, Elisabeth is very professional; she’ll acknowledge her past while channeling those emotions to ensure we secure a victory. She’ll be eager to find the net and show appreciation for the country where her journey began.”
