<p>This past summer, Transfermarkt users had the opportunity to vote for the ‘Player of the Season’ in Europe’s top leagues. In the Bundesliga, England's captain Harry Kane was selected by the TM community and proudly shared the award on social media.</p>
<p>With an impressive record of 26 goals and 10 assists in 31 Bundesliga matches, Kane garnered 33% of the votes. He outpaced former Bayer Leverkusen player Florian Wirtz, who received 16.5%, and his teammate Michael Olise, who achieved 15.7%. The English striker has hit the ground running this season, continuing to score and breaking multiple records along the way.</p>
<p>“Harry Kane continues to break records—this weekend, he became the fastest player to reach 100 goals among all players in the top five leagues in the modern era,” said Transfermarkt CEO Thomas Lintz. “It is no surprise that the global Transfermarkt community voted for him as the 2024/25 Bundesliga Player of the Season.”</p>
<p>The 32-year-old expressed his gratitude to his fans and voters from the TM community with a photo message. TM-CEO Lintz has emphasized that this award has become an established honor among professionals, especially after receiving acknowledgments from LaLiga recipient Lamine Yamal: "The enthusiasm for our Player of the Season award reflects Transfermarkt's international appeal. It is truly special when stars like Ousmane Dembélé, Mohamed Salah, or Lamine Yamal hold our award, paying tribute to all the users in our community who cast their votes."</p>
<p>TM users had the chance to select from 24 players across 19 leagues globally to vote for their Player of the Season. The award considers all of Europe’s top five leagues, Major League Soccer, the Süper Lig, and competitions like the J-League, as well as leagues in countries such as Indonesia and Greece.</p>
