GRIMSBY TEAM UPDATES
Grimsby Town remains unbeaten after their first six matches of the 2025/26 season, although they settled for a 1-1 draw against Accrington Stanley over the weekend.
Injury kept Doug Tharme, Kieran Green, and Jamie Walker out of action at the Wham Stadium. However, captain Danny Rose and Jude Soonsup-Bell were named in the matchday squad for the first time this season, with Rose making his appearance in the final 10 minutes of the game.
“The reality is that they’re likely not fully ready,” manager David Artell commented after the match in Lancashire.
“Given the injuries we’ve faced this week, our options were limited. Rosey played for the last 10 minutes, but we can’t be certain how much more he can manage at this stage, so it shouldn’t be a shock to fans if he’s not involved over the next week or two.
“It was a situation of necessity, but we’ll continue to work on getting them fitter and sharper, with the hope that they can avoid further injuries.”
