As anticipated, Patrick was in high spirits when he spoke with MUTV commentator Liam Bradford in the Old Trafford tunnel after the match, reflecting on his first goal for United.
Dorgu beamed as he recalled his thought process leading up to the strike: “I saw the ball coming down and realized I was unmarked, so I thought: ‘Let me take a shot!’ Fortunately, I made solid contact and it found the back of the net.”
He also shared his enjoyment in contributing to the team’s victory from his position as a winger, stating: “I played a slightly different role today, but I really enjoyed it and I’m thrilled to help the team secure three points.”
“Being in those dangerous areas with the ball, I felt a good connection with my teammates and we created several chances. It was crucial to pick up the three points today.”
