Chris Wyatt, a member of the Plymouth Supporters’ Club, endorsed David’s nomination, stating, “David has served on the committee since the inception of the supporters’ club in 1996.”
“At 77 years old, David is a full-time lecturer in genetics at the University of Plymouth, yet he still manages the most demanding role within the Plymouth Supporters’ Club. Without his efforts, our members would find it difficult to attend games.”
“He handles thousands of emails each season and spends countless hours on the phone with the club. Moreover, he is a truly selfless individual, often sacrificing his own time and relaxation to help others. He is most deserving of this recognition.”
Fellow member Ashley Hale emphasized, “David consistently works around the clock to assist others in the Plymouth Supporters’ Club.”
“His dedication is entirely voluntary, and he never hesitates to go the extra mile. Thank you, David, for being an inspiration to all and for your unwavering support of Manchester United.”
