Last season at Wolves, Cunha wore the number 10 jersey, netting 15 goals in 33 appearances after taking over from Daniel Podence.
Before this, he sported the number 12 for the Black Country club and wore the numbers 9 and 19 during his time at Atletico Madrid.
In the 2020/21 season, Matheus also held the number 10 shirt at Hertha Berlin, but at his previous clubs Sion and RB Leipzig, he used a variety of different numbers.
The number 10 carries significant prestige in Brazil, being associated with many of the nation’s greatest football legends.
