It wasn’t just the impressive number of saves that caught attention during Lammens’ campaign.
The former Club Brugge goalkeeper demonstrated remarkable agility, reflexes, and anticipation, successfully denying a significant majority of attempts against him.
In fact, only three other goalkeepers achieved a better save percentage while making over 50 saves throughout the campaign, with Belgium’s Davy Roef of Gent leading the pack.
This exceptional performance clearly impressed the United scouts, culminating in a deadline day deal to secure Senne’s transfer. Head coach Ruben Amorim shared his vision for how the new signing will fit into the team’s long-term strategy.
“We are very pleased with him,” Amorim stated. “He is a goalkeeper with enormous potential.
“He provides us with additional options on the field and will be ready to contribute. He possesses unique attributes that can benefit us now, while also showing great promise to be our starting goalkeeper for many years to come.”
