U18s SECURE HARD-FOUGHT VICTORY AGAINST BURNLEY
United’s U18s assistant coach, Colin Little, labeled the team’s 1-0 triumph over Burnley as a “valuable experience,” as the young Reds labored throughout the match to penetrate a well-structured and resolute defense.
<p“Burnley displayed great spirit and determination, restricting our space in the attacking third,” Little noted. “However, we’re Manchester United, and we need to find a way to succeed. Many teams will adopt this defensive approach, and our players must learn to adapt.”
The game’s only goal came when Jim Thwaites successfully converted a penalty kick after U15 player Gabriel was brought down.
Darren Fletcher’s U18 squad maintains its perfect start to the season. They will face Wolves next, on Saturday at 11:30 BST, with the match being broadcast live on MUTV.
