TEAM UPDATE
Could we see some fresh talent join United at Leigh this Wednesday? Midfielder Julia Zigiotti Olme, our first signing of the summer from Bayern Munich at the end of July, has participated in both of our recent pre-season matches and may make her home debut against Liverpool.
Also joining the squad is Fridolina Rolfo, Zigiotti Olme’s fellow Swedish international, who joined us last week after spending four years at Barcelona. If she takes the field, it will mark her first appearance for the club.
In terms of other team news, Grace Clinton, Maya Le Tissier, and Ella Toone have returned from their successful European Championship campaign with England this summer. All three featured in Saturday’s win over Real Betis and are expected to log more minutes at LSV.
Additionally, Melvine Malard, who netted two goals upon her return from the tournament with France, also contributed to the weekend’s impressive 8-0 victory, which was our latest pre-season match.
