Given the immense stature of United and the intense media attention surrounding them, there’s a palpable sense of positivity building up, and it certainly feels that way at the moment.
During a candid conversation with the staff before training, Ruben appeared at ease and confident. He expressed his contentment with staying in one city (Chicago) during their time in the USA, a sentiment shared by the entire staff. It has started to feel like a second home for them. The balance between club duties, on-pitch focus, and downtime has benefitted the players, fostering a sense of camaraderie within the squad.
Regarding the new signings, neither of them participated at Soldier Field, yet United performed exceptionally well. Nevertheless, Ruben is enthusiastic about both players due to their impressive training sessions and positive attitudes within the team. They embody humility and competitiveness, both eager to earn their places in the starting lineup.
Bryan Mbeumo is following an individualized development plan after joining the pre-season training a bit later than his teammates. He is progressing well and showcased his talents during Thursday’s session, which included an intense drill featuring high-speed sprints and shooting exercises across two pitches.
With only a few days left in the USA before heading back to a revamped Carrington, the momentum continues to build. Let’s hope it keeps gaining traction.
