The impressive French defender had to wait for his opportunity last season due to an injury, but he has now secured his place in Amorim’s primary defensive lineup.
Leny’s defensive skills have been evident during the initial weeks of the season, particularly when he made a crucial tackle to prevent Fulham’s Josh King from scoring at Craven Cottage.
Just moments later, he contributed to our scoring at the other end. Although he was just shy of securing his first Premier League goal, Yoro was subsequently awarded the Man of the Match title.
Consistently solid and stylish in every appearance so far, this season looks set to be one of significant growth for the centre-back.
