Next came the interview. As I mentioned earlier, significant days for a player often attract a crowd, but once the interview starts, it’s essential to tune everything out and focus on having a meaningful conversation. From my perspective, the goal is to ensure the dialogue flows naturally while guiding it toward topics that I believe fans will be interested in.
After the interview wrapped up, it was time for transcription, followed by a few more announcements to finalize. There was a palpable energy at Carrington, with individuals in various roles diligently working against the clock to meet deadlines. Whether it was staff handling loan agreements for young players, a videographer putting the finishing touches on Lammens’ announcement video, or the photographer sorting through images for the perfect shots of the day, everyone was busy.
As evening fell, the Carrington chef prepared some pizzas to keep everyone energized. Once everything was completed, I headed home, while some key team members stayed behind to finish off a challenging yet productive day.
