Amorim is acutely aware that the opening of the transfer window will generate heightened speculation about player departures and arrivals, especially with the World Cup looming at the end of the season.
However, he has rightly pointed out that circumstances in football can change rapidly and has used Casemiro as a prime example to inspire his teammates.
“The atmosphere around the training ground is noticeably more positive than before,” he remarked. “Firstly, the players understand that I make room for everyone; each player has to contribute in their own way, but there are certain fundamental expectations that must be met to play for Manchester United, regardless of your name.”
“This approach helps with management. I continually emphasize to the players that we are not just focused on today or this season, but also on the future. They need to feel they are part of a larger journey, something beyond a single match or season.”
“They are integral to our collective mission. Additionally, I highlight that Casemiro was not initially in the starting lineup; he had to earn his position. If you fight for your spot and succeed, you’ll play. I believe this illustrates to them that I am committed to fairness and that they are a vital part of something truly special and significant for us.”
