When asked if he finds the players’ lack of aggression surprising and if he believes he can instill that quality in them, he responded, “That’s a great question. What exactly is aggression?”

He continued, “Aggression manifests in how we sprint to defend our box. If one player is taking one or two touches, we need to be more physical in those moments. My focus is on the details and the context of the situation.”

“Ultimately, we need to shift our mindset as a team because there’s potential for us to win games. I mentioned last year that reaching the final third and creating opportunities was challenging; that’s no longer the case.”
