TEAM UPDATE FOR PALACE

The Eagles saw their five-match unbeaten streak come to an end with a 2-1 defeat to Strasbourg in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday.

Captain Marc Guehi was substituted at halftime as part of a pre-planned strategy after his recent absence, while midfielder Will Hughes sustained a minor injury.

“We had a plan for Marc since he couldn’t train for two and a half weeks,” explained manager Oliver Glasner. “He played the full 90 minutes last week against Wolves, and he will definitely play against Manchester United.”

“We needed to manage his minutes, so there are no concerns regarding Marc’s fitness.”

“Will just overstretched his knee. We’ll evaluate him further, but it doesn’t seem too serious.”

Borna Sosa was unable to travel and remains sidelined, but otherwise, the team is in good condition.

“Borna will miss this match as well,” Glasner noted in his recent press conference. “However, Will’s situation looks promising, and we’re optimistic he’ll be part of the matchday squad. Everyone else is fit.”

“We returned late, but we’ve already begun our preparations for Manchester United, and we’ll maintain this rhythm until mid-January.”
